The Thuishavens – including Jachthaven Naarden - meet the strictest standards with respect to service and environmental care. In recognition of this we have been awarded two quality awards: the Blue Flag and the Gold Anchor.

The Blue Flag
Jachthaven Naarden has been awarded the Blue Flag for more than 10 years running. It is an international environmental quality award, which is presented annually to beaches and marinas that have proven to be clean, environmentally friendly and safe. The Gold Anchor
Jachthaven Naarden has been awarded four Gold Anchors by the Yacht Harbour Association. The Gold Anchor is an international quality award guaranteeing a high standard of facilities. Corporate sustainability
All Thuishavens attach great importance to the environment and the wellbeing of nature, man and wildlilfe. This is demonstrated by how our marinas are run. You can also help us to keep the marina looking attractive and clean. To this end, please note the following:

• The lighting in the toilet and shower facilities and the boat house are connected to movement sensors. This prevents energy from being wasted.
• Our showers are timer controlled so no water is wasted.
• The drinking water taps are electronically restricted to 10 minutes.
• Toilets are flushed with water from the marina.
• Refuse, paper, glass and small chemical waste are all collected separately and processed sustainably.
• Drinking water on the pontoons is not intended for hosing down boats. A separate system for this has been installed with various taps on each pontoon using water from the marina.
• A dirty water and bilge water pump are available.
• Where possible we have installed energy-saving lamps. Timer switches prevent energy waste.
• Electricity use on the pontoons is metered to improve both your and our awareness of energy consumption. 
• We use as few pesticides as possible.
• In winter our car parks are used for laying up boats. The car parks have a closed rainwater system so that harmful substances do not end up in the environment.
